Over the years, responsibilities have included management of marketing projects, content management and maintenance of the website (www.gbbinc.com), development and production of the company newsletter, social media accounts management, business development, lead follow-up, and participation in the proposal development process.

Major accomplishments include:

  • Improving website with increased current content and addition of relevant product/service information
  • Filling the lead pipeline and generating early-adopter sales for two new software products with promotional efforts and aggressive lead follow-up

Implemented a purchasing/inventory control system as head of purchasing at Formedica, a Canadian manufacturer of orthopedic soft goods and distributor of home health care products. Responsibilities included:

  • Purchasing of raw material for manufacturing of orthopedic soft goods
  • Purchasing of home health care products to be distributed under Formedica's brand
  • Inventory control
  • Relations and negotiations with suppliers (Canada, USA, Italy, France, Taiwan)
  • Setting up of a computerized purchasing and inventory control system
  • Establishment and maintenance of a cost accounting system to track the material costs of manufactured products

Effort resulted in more precise data on cost of manufactured goods and an all-time low inventory level while decreasing the back-orders as the company doubled its sales in a few years.

Headed the marketing efforts for the launch of a complete product line for the retail market for Formedica, a Canadian manufacturer of orthopedic soft goods and distributor of home health care products. Marketing projects included:

  • Development of retail packaging for retail market
  • Creation of 76-page catalogue
  • Development and update of planograms to assist with merchandising in drugstores
  • Development and update of price lists
  • Development of promotional flyers
  • Creation of sales tools for sales representatives

Responsibilities included content development of the catalogue and packaging, management of graphic design firm and coordination with printers and photographers.

The marketing initiative resulted in Formedica becoming the leader in the orthopedic/home health care market in eastern Canada within 3 years of the launch.

For Women with Strength, an Oregon-based firm providing personal training and classes for women 40 and up, AlphaNova Group designed, developed and maintained a corporate website.
